If the board only sanctioned the approaches on Mon seems v unlikely. besides if we are talking loans clubs will want to see who else they bring in first. fans expecting to read we have landed defoe on 1st jan will be disappointed.

Was dann as johnson was at wolves I think. I like ridgewell, and he is better than what we have. Also as he can play lb gies us option of pushing traore to left wing when needed

Johnson only signed for Wolves in the summer. We've been working on transfers for a while - including some deals we couldn't make happen before the last window closed. Just because you can't amek a signing doesn't mean you can't negotiate with clubs and agents.
