I honestly think within 3 months the usual boos and abuse will be aimed at him as they are with 9/10 strikers that join our club. The fact he's come from Fulham won't help his cause either.
Totally agree with this. Rs fans are awful at backing struggling players. If we actually supported them they might hit some form and turn good.

Might be on my own here but I think Zamora is dogshit. Since we've been linked with him I've been keeping a close eye on him and quite frankly he looks about as determined as Bothroyd and imo isn't the kind of striker we need. Much rather a small, nippy poacher. Zamora is far to similar to Helgusson and Bothroyd.

Did anyone see Zamora in the Europa league last week?! He was diabolical. Perhaps its because he knows he's offski & he clearly doesn't get on with Jol but when you cross that white line that should go out the window. Much rather have Dempsey from Fulham. He looks a quality player.

I'm with James although I do think he would improve us.

another player lacking enthusiasm for the game that has made his fortune and heavy on attitude...should fit right in

Its a shame David Villa has gone and broken his leg because he might have been viewed as good enough for us by a vast majority of our fans.

Although he does look quite lazy at times....

Zamora is a decent player, but is he what we need when we have Bothroyd and HH who's been a revelation this season....?

As for those saying he's a proven scorer, without checking any stats, i would beg to doffer. He's never been prolific from what i remember barely getting much more than double figures in the league. The other season his tally was probably falsely inflatd as they got to the europa final and had about another 20 games as a result.

He could certainly do a job for us, i just don't think he's the answer.

36 in 182 PL games mate.

Roughly 1 in 6 then, not as good as I was hoping. How many times has he hit double figures in a season?

TBH I can't decide about him, Fulham fans I know say he can be unplayable and like a Drogba 'lite' at times, but they also say he can be utterly useless.

I think he's too similar to what we already have in HH and JB, but should Neil sign him he'll get my full support.

Once, in 2006-07 season when he got 11. Not prolific by any stretch of the imagination but, IMO, he is alot better version of Bothroyd and think he could be a goo improvement. Not quite the "Defoe" some people are expecting, but he would defiantley do a job up top paired with a poacher.

                            He's not all about wiki-stats & goals.

Strong, quick and mobile. His link up play and hold up play is on a different level to anyone we have, or many other CF's.

Very good point mate, he does seem to play better with AJ up top.

Maybe a Bobby and DJ partnership would do some damage?

I think they could, potentially, prove a very good strike force tbh mate.
