Connerly was the best of a poor lot, Cerny is a good shot stopper and did make ome good saves but does not command his area. Another header inside the six yard box and poor positionally for the second goal.

Having said all that and I agree Radek has been superb, if Kenny is fit get him back between the sticks

Always liked Connolly, i know he has his moments, but who doesn't at the back? He will like the prem league less physical and he is a good ball playing centre back!

Cerny another player like Iceman.Worrird at first when he was first in the team but has taken his chance superbly.We now need the so called star players to step up.

He's a shot stopper with good reflexes, nothing more. Awful in the air and almost cost us a goal in the first half. Should also have stopped Carricks goal, to let that one in in the short corner is not good enough for the PL, everyone playing between the post knows that corner is a must for the keeper unless the shot is a monster. The Wellbeck-save? An easy one, but it looks great.

I'd take Gomes everyday..

played well today cerny...some top drawer saves-as you say he kept the scores down. one gripe-felt he should have saved the second. hard to find a fault in him otherwise considering the amount of chances they had-even kenny would not have saved us.
we are sound in that department at least!!!
