    What I've been told.....

Jermaine Defoe is the main transfer target for January and a deal is very much on the cards. He will cost in the region of 10m

Might be the main target but not a hope in hell

Does seem very unlikely cambs but with our owners well just don't know,
can remember looking forward to transfer windows under the previous regime, and everytime feeling really let down,so am hoping things will be different from now on.

No chance unless Spurs sign a new striker!

Amauri. Apparently we were also sniffing around but Spurs are first in the running.

The fact is he needs to be playing regularly & he's not.

We can offer him that. Doesn't have to move house & will still earn shed loads.

Pretty good chance if you ask me.

The Zamora hunt is on apparently:

QPR have made the first move for Bobby Zamora following a rift between the 30-year-old Fulham striker and manager Martin Jol. Sunderland and Aston Villa are also interested.

Except he has been playing the last two games - and scoring. He might want to go but will Harry want to lose him? One injury to Van der vart of Adeybiyor (sorry, terrible attempt at spelling his name) and they are up the creek as Harry clearly doesn't rate Pav.

Problem is, when you compare almost any target/signing with Defoe, they will be labelled as not good enough, or at least get a lot of "I'd rather Defoe" comments.

Defoe is a superb striker, we (or most clubs) couldn't wish for better. But I honestly don't think he'll leave Spurs, when it really comes down to the big decision.
Which leaves us with Zamora, Andy Johnson, Pavuylechenko etc.. And they are all very decent targets too, in their own right.
We just have to try and get the best we can, and be careful not to compare everyone to Jermaine Defoe.
"Trust In Warnock" - Don't just type it - Do It.

Spurs would need to sign a replacement and Amauri is not that. Pav seems the more likely guy to leave and probably to Russia.

I don't think Spurs will sell him.
