People obviously expected us to spank Liverpool at anfield and we didn't, therefore the doom and gloom brigade are back in full force. Not good enough, Warnock out, he's lost the plot, barton is rubbish, we won't but anyone good in Jan, blah blah blah.

It's an absolute joke Ninj we had what 10 managers in 3 seasons under those c**ts in charge before and the we lose 1-0 at Anfield and you read this, maybe Flavio and co is what we deserve as a fanbase.

We did try - we were beaten fair and square

I'm loving it this season - we are a stable club at long last and in the premiership

Did we really expect to win at anfield

The title of the thread is bottom 3 by new years day that has appeared after a 1-0 defeat
at Anfield. As regards not trying I don't think liverpool let us, if we had gone gun ho at them they would have killed us, we had to go deep with the pace they have

Sunderland will be a v tough game now and wd be v pleasantly surprised if we get three points from that. BUT look at half a dozen clubs at the bottom. They hardly ever win. Welcome to the Premier League, that's what its like. Every point is a bonus. As such I don't see us picking up many points before Christmas - as I was pointing out even in the euphoria post Stoke - but even so I'd be surprised if we were in the bottom three. We are fairly poor in Prem terms but there are prob five teams who are poorer.

Lets look at it this way...not every team is a Liverpool, we will start picking up points from the bottom half teams which are our fight. We have always said that this term is about survival and at the moment we are well placed.
