Says on news now he is our back up option for Defoe. Hope this is just Warno's cunning attempt to unsettle West Brom before our game. He was great last season but if even his own manager has basically said he has been feigning injuries since his big new contract in the summer and done nothing this season, is this really the kind of player we want?

powerful player but reckon you'll struggle to remember him in a cple of seasons when he's playing in turkey or greece or some other pony league.

Agree, wd prefer one of the Fulham strikers, the Frenchie or of course in an ideal world Defoe. Not sure he is a great improvement on Heider or Jay. That says he'll prob come on and do a grant holt against us now...

doesn't have the character we need. defoe doesn't get affected by what people say about him. he just aims to score goals week in week out. he wants to play regardless.. we need that sort of player.

Defoe and Zamora/Johnson would be fine.

His injuries are a concern, but there's no doubting he's a good striker. Had a 1 in 2 record last season, which ain't bad for a first season in the Prem.

Odemwingie is a very good striker IMO, would be happy if we signed him.
