    we are too honest

there's been a couple of times this season where we could have had pens but our players decide to stay on there feet, the latest being mackie yesterday and its not a case of cheating if the defender makes contact we should go down other teams will use this policy and will get results from it.

The free kick we scored from yesterday, was won by Bothroyd falling over his own foot.

I understand your point, but I'd much rather we stayed honest. Proud of Mackie, for his workrate and endeavour, wouldn't want that spoiled by him diving.

Same here. Rather than saying players should all go down I would rather players and managers made a stand. That way the ref conning might get a shame tag associated with it.

He should not have gone down and nor should anyone else when someone just breathes near them. However, I understand that the norm is to collapse like you have been shot, but it brings a stain to the game.

Are you referring to the pen?...He was definately pushed...He might have gone down a bit easy but he was fouled.

I think the point should be that it was a foul anyway , it put him off his stride and if out tr area is blown for, I would love to see refs punish fouls and prove you don't need to collapse for it to
            Be given

Nah, other teams will win pens/free kicks for simply falling over, so why not us?

Much good our honesty would be, should the unthinkable happen come May.

Sorry to open a can of worms, but Adel would have gone down like a lady of the night in a Casablancan brothel...

I hold my hand up. I felt some fans were too quick to write Tabs off and I prob wd have played him (if he were fit) but you have to learn from experience and I preferred the look of our team against Man City. I wd still keep the door open for Adel but hopefully this shows him he has to step up if he wants back in the team.

I agree. No player that skillful cant possibly become crap overnight. I really think something is bugging him outside football. I hope after a good break he will come back like the Adel we know.

even if he wereto come back the prob we now face is where he plays , this new formation looks more effective and we cant play him in middle, cant play him on wings as desnt track back only place for him as 1 of front 2

No I meant about Mackie - go down or not? And footballers in general.
