    Or the alternate view

He was newer the captain, he was given that for his ego.

He was crap at set pieces, I would say 70% of cornets or free kicks never cleared the wall or knocked some out in row z.

Thats what a promotion does and money does.

    In Wanock we trust.

That's why he has to go in January.

Regardless of what we think he WAS the captain. Fact.

Don't think we've got 1 player who can take a decent set piece still.

Promotion, yet a player who gave us 19 goals & 22 assists is bombed out.

As I said previously he has made a rod for his own back but with the squad we've got he deserves a spot over certain others.

The fact is Fitz Hall was club captain, Adel wore the arm band.

Buzz is great at set pieces

All to do with his attitude and nothing else.

No one player is bigger than the team.

Am a big fan of Adel and think it's a crying shame the way this season has gone for him.Like all of us have seen, we seem to be "smoother" in attack just felt AT slowed us this season. But you can't have talent like him and become crap over night. But on the other hand don't think he can contribute enough in a 4-4-2.

Dont see why he cant fit a 442, whilst he will never be the best at tracking back and tackling, he certainly has done more of that this season.
Adel has his faults, but i think Warnock has completely mis managed him this season. And i for one would prefer to watch my team with him in it than not, he can be a joy to watch.

Out of curosity Devon, would you rather watch QPR win without him, or watch QPR draw or loose with him ?

Some of the antics I've heard about him lately drive me nuts but I can't help but think he's just a flawed diamond. We all know he's got it he just hasn't shone YET.

We are only what 12-13 games into the season & he's been totally written off. Barton was very ordinary for most of the games he's played & has only just started to show us what he's all about, Derry has been very disappointing at times yet Adel because of the massive expectations from us is singled out.

Agree about him being mis managed. He is clearly a confidence player but its clear NW has given up on him. Its a real shame.

On a positive we've been playing great without him so as it stands Warnock is justified, my point is though the subs bench is weak & he would be great to bring on for 25-30 mins to go at teams.

silly question, qpr win nothing else. But would prefer to watch us win and him play, and whilst i dont think we should do anything to accomodate him, i do think we would be a better team with him than without.

Must admit AT off the bench last 20 mins against a tiring team with express orders to run at em could bring some joy.

i would have thought if adel was just the token captain last season then derry and not hall was the real voice?
adel should be worth a place in the 25 imo-only if he knuckles down.

Soton - "the facts are that results wise and statistically we are a better side without Adel this season than with him".

Statistically wrong - Adel has featured in 3 wins, 3 draws, 4 defeats. 12 pts.
                        Without him - 1 win, 2 defeats. 3 pts.

Win ratios are pretty much the same 30% vs 33% but that can only really be compared accurately when same (or similar number of games).

I do agree, we are playing better without him, we look a more solid unit, but "results wise & statistically" we're not better (yet !)
I also agree with your 2nd point about NW being happy to sell him, or at least 'happier' than he was.
But I don't think we should be relying on TF to constantly fund us. His pockets aren't as deep and Abramovich or Man City's or many others. We need to be run as a viable business (especially when new earning/spending rules come in) and getting top price for players IS relevant IMO.

Paul Mason - "The fact is Fitz Hall was club captain, Adel wore the arm band"
And Shaun Derry did both in the abscence of Hall and the prescence of Adel.

and "would you rather watch QPR win without him, or watch QPR draw or loose with him ?"
I want QPR to win, with OR without him. Currently we lose a higher percentage without him ! See above. Defeats - 40% with him involved vs 66.7% without !
(Damn stats, as I said, I know it's a flawed comparison)

                        2 further points -
I'd have rather had the option of Adel on the bench v Norwich than Puncheon.
Likewise v West Brom next Saturday.

If the Adel knockers are right, what with him being -
selfish, don't pass, stroppy, don't score, a liability, not a team player, useless, arrogant, can't take a corner/free kick, etc. -

Then he won't be going anywhere in January ! No one in their right mind will touch him with a barge pole ! Including PSG.
Now where have I heard that before ?

Just call me 'SirPieChucker 2' ! Whatever happened to him ?

Most will have realised by now, I'm a big fan of Adel, it's players like him QPR are famous for - Marsh, Bowles, Currie, Stainrod, Byrne, Wegerle.....

Trouble is, he's making it VERY difficult for me to justify his place in the team currently. In fact, right now, I CAN'T.
I still believe he's worth a place in our 25 based on his contribution over the last 2.5 seasons and that, on his day, he's 'probably' our best and most talented footballer.

I want him to put some effort in and show the Premiership what he's capable of, but right now, it seems unlikely. But I can't just dismiss his achievements 'pre Fulham' as easily as some others can.

Sometimes I wish I lived in a more black & white world (that's not racist, is it ?)

If he dont even make the bench Saturday its only right we get honest answers as we cant be struggling on the bench but not have Adel on it, we would have reasons to complain
