He may not be fundamentally racist - but he may have made a dim witted racist comment to Anton Ferdinand...... live on global TV....... which wasn't very clever..... Trevor.

I've always wanted to know where I can apply to join this Brigade. I've never found its website, HQ or application form.

I run that website but it is restricted access and fee-based because we don't want the place to go to the dogs ... or cats or any other animals, not that there is anything wrong with animals and I am sure one day they will learn how to use the Internet and create websites of their own because animals are really smart but people opress them too much, hindering the development of their cognitive potential for which I think the United Nations should issue an official apology on behalf of all nations of the world. Oh and that site also has a great forum dedicated to alternative uses for industrial lubricants, you get that gratis when you sign up for the PC section.

no doubt he said what is being accused otherwise why bother taking it this far. However the English FA probably won't want such a slur against their name what with him being the england Captain, so will probably "investigate" and then conclude insufficient evidence to prove he said anything untoward and he'll get let off.

Seem to remember England Captain Alan Shearer kicking Neil Lennon in the head off the ball and getting let off.... checking the mud in his studs or something was he, and the bloke's head happened to get in the way....!!

Not a racist even though he made a racist comment? Does that mean a man is not a wife beater even though he beat his wife up? Or indeed a man is not a rapist even though he once raped someone

So I take it Trevor thinks its ok for fans to racially abuse players as well? After all, they would only be doing everything to make their team win.

You cannot pile everything into the same basket - hence we have a justice system with varying degrees of punishments. What about the guy who took so much ear-ole and grief from his wife that he lashed out and pushed her? Is he a "wife beater" too?

An ill timed, ill thought out comment does not necessarily make him a fundamental racist i.e. running around with a white bedsheet over his head, burnin' crosses, chaysin' after them neygers. My family come from East Action and I can still remember Grandad saying a few things that probably wouldn't be acceptable to say in public today. Was he racist? No, not in my opinion because I don't think he would have seen harm done to anyone over the colour of their skin. He also fought against the fascists - so he wasn't too keen on them for a start. Was it a racist comment? Of course.

However, given John Terry's place in society, his responsibilities, and his previous he deserves to have the full book thrown at him if proven guilty. End of.
