No DeepcutHoop I'm not.I take it you're talking about slavery, and how we persecuted them in that era.
You say that using the word black is obviously racist if used in front of insults, and the reason for this is because we persecuted them in the past, yet using Irish as an example is not.
Why not? We persecuted them in the past.
But you say using P*ki is racist but #### or welsh isn't.
Just confused how you define what is what isn't

What a load of shite.Originally posted by roose View PostThat's cos the white English has for generations been thought of as the master race so it's not insulting to be told you are white it is viewed as a good thing.
If a #### called me a 'fooking white ####' and it is meant as an insult, that's okay in your view?.
Yet if i called him a 'fooking #### ####' i am a racist?.
Fook me,you talk some shite mate.

I'm fairly sure that none of them are particularly pleasant and ANY racism is nasty, but I would suggest referencing skin colour does carry some extra weight behind it as it were (and this goes for all sides),Originally posted by QPRDave View PostNo DeepcutHoop I'm not.I take it you're talking about slavery, and how we persecuted them in that era.

I am not deliberately mising any point, I am not racist, I am bright and educated - as for history, I have a degree in it and I am not winding anyone up.Originally posted by DeepcutHoop View PostIn this case, if someone fails to grasp why sticking the word 'black' in front of the c-word, is worse than say 'fat' or 'Welsh' or 'ginger', is either deliberately missing the point to allow them to justify their own racist tendencies, is not particularly bright and probably not educated enough to know their history, or is being a hilarious internet WUM (which is worse than being John Terry IMO).
If you read through my comments you will see that. I am just making a point that you are calling people blinkered idiots without any substance to your point other than - black people had it worse - so therefore it is wrong, but it's ok for other racist comments. And I am using the legal definition of what is racist - so what are you using? Oh yes - your opinion.
So what about the Irish? I notice you avoided that? Is calling someone an Irish **** acceptable?
Anyway, getting boring now. Go to bed fatty.

ALL RACISM IS BAD! Including that aimed at the Irish, obviously. Simple enough?Originally posted by silvercue View PostI am not deliberately mising any point, I am not racist, I am bright and educated - as for history, I have a degree in it and I am not winding anyone up.

At what point had I said it was OK to insult other races? I said that racism where skin colour was involved was worse, and given that we live in a part of the world having darker skin made put you in a minority, aimed at black people has more impact and meaning. And that to argue otherwise was (OK if you must) in my opinion, questionable.
How did you know I'm fat?!

My opinion for what its worth is that rather than being overtly racist Terry's outburst at Ferdinand was simply a angry reaction to whatever had taken place, I think he wanted primarily to call him a ****ing c**t and the Black was thrown in subconciously
Using the word Black as a deliberate racist menance or slur simply makes no sense when half of your own team are black even allowing for a low level of intelligence.its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks
