True, it did seem that way last season, especially in the 20 games.

I also agree with Sullivan, that Taarabt has worked harder this season and that he has been trying to be more of a team player. He certainly passes the ball more frequently.

Its not a game in the park when you think "aw, wouldn't it be nice if Adel got on the score sheet". It was a massive game and we couldn't afford to risk missing it (as when Fitz was given one to take a couple of years ago). Adel has to earn his own goals, same as everyone else.

All that said I also thought he made some very telling contributions on Saturday.
You're wrong there. Last season, if HH won it AT took it. If AT won it, HH took it. Check the records.
On Sunday, HH won it, so, by last season's precedent, AT should have taken it. Wrong that he kicked off because he didn't, but not correct to say that HH takes our penalties.
Aedel hasn't missed a penalty either, btw.

OK Swanley, apologies, I stand corrected. I thought Adel only took them when Heider wasn't playing. In that case you are right - either Warnock needs to have a rule about who the pen taker is or say it is always up to the captain.

Think we should have a "pecking" order, and if No 1 doesn't fancy it or isn't on the pitch, then onto the next one and so on etc.

I think you're right that NW needs to be proactive in dictating who does what -- he said on Sunday that it was whoever had the ball -- its just creating disagreement where there shouldn't be any.
Barton has also taken penalties in the past, as has Smith, so the whole thing needs to be clarified before they even get on the pitch.
Just don't let Fitz Hall take them...

Personally thought it was a poor decision by Warnock to take him off.

We were getting pummelled but on a couple of occasions him & swp were linking very well & it was only a matter of time imo before the pair of them would of got us another goal to kill the game. Taking him off played right into Chelshits hands to early.

              Personal opinion only of course.

I feel, or should I rather say hope, Barton more and more decides "whose taking what" etc now.

IMO,that´s what a good captain should do.

He drew the foul from DDDDDrogba
He put Clint clean through and he should have scored
He got kicked a load retained possession mostly

                  Just saying !!!
It was Luke Young not Clint...

He gave the ball away loads which caused a lot of un-necessary pressure, Anelka almost scored at one point. Don't get me wrong I think he's a genius, but we needed 11 players on the field who would retain the ball and put the yards in where as Adel will only run when he has the ball and willl still try to do the impossible often resulting is us losing possession. He's a luxury player and for as long as we were 1-0 up Chelsea were always still in the game. NW pulled him off on the 60minute mark because he wasn't doing all the simple things. I look at a glass and say its half empty where as other will say its only half full. Tactically what Neil did was spot on taking him off when he did.

If Luke Young had a shot in him we'd have won 3-0.

Plus didn't realise what a bad miss HH's volley was from JB's cross til I watched it back. Game wasn't as close as some Chelshit would like you to believe.
