Adel... anyone else think NW's patience is wearing very thin with him?

lol did you watch the same game? Adel was very poor and gave nearly everything away..should of come off at half time. And the penalty strop on national tv he had was just plain embarrassing as was his stomping off down the tunnel

He didn’t play that well, he went off down the tunnel but then came back out to give Kenny a hug and celebrate with the team. What else is there to say? I can’t see why after we beat Chelsea that Adel should be highlighted good or bad. There’s this obsession with him by those that love him and those that hate him.
I think Adel was main reason we went up last year but I now think maybe he should leave qpr. The reason is that he should be remembered as a great player in our history and yet after beating Chelsea we get threads berating him??!!

Although i agree that his stupid little strops etc are no way for a team player to behave , i get the feeling that he wouldnt act like this if he hadnt been told , probably every day , how much talent he has and how great he could become! it gotta get into your head, especially when your " still a kid really" as NW said recently.
I really think that the way he has been handled by qpr managers and staff is creating a monster ego and this cannot be a good thing. A good old fashioned dropping is called for....we may get "good" adel back when he returns.....but then again are his performances really that bad?

Watched the whole thing again, with an eye on him, and some of his passing was sublime -- the pass that led to the first red card, the pass to Young when Young nearly scored, several other passes/lay-offs/back-heels/flicks which were accurate and opened up attacks for other players.
He is his own worst enemy with the strop over the penalty and subbing though, and I think it's easy for people to get a downer on him and focus on the passes which did go astray -- but it was the minority which did, and the fact that the commentators picked up on it was unfortunate -- but they frequently mentioned the class passes too.
Papers gave him a decent rating too.
I think it's unfortunate that fans are turning on him.
I think some of the current fans would have lambasted Stan Bowles too.
I think the expectations on him to score amazing goals is too high and he is getting judged unfairly because he isn't scoring those goals at the moment -- but this is a step up and his all round play has improved, as noted by many on other MB's and in the press.

He does need to grow up quickly, because it would be a shame if all the wonderful memories from last season were tarnished by the strops, which had largely disappeared.
But it is very wrong to try and say that all or even most of his passes were inaccurate, because they weren't.

I would be more angry with Adel if he did NOT demand to take the penalty. Just shows that he was 100% confident of scoring for us. If HH had missed we would all be screaming that Adel should have taken it. Dont think he has ever missed a penalty for us anyone ?

was also amazed that David Luis wasn't given a second yellow, if 2 hadn't gone already, the ref may not have been so lenient with Cole and Luis.

i agree with you swanley he did a lot of good things in that game which get overshadowed by acts of petulance
i would defo play him vs spurs as think he will have a point to prove to harry

Good point -- he's actually been with us for nearly 3 years now, but only signed as our player for just over a year, so the Spurs link is still going to be strong -- especially as Harry seemed convinced he couldn't do it in the Prem. Would be a great time for Adel to prove to everyone that he can.
