Get real. We all wrote off Helguson before Warnock turned him into an excellent striker. It was like a new acquisition. It is early days for Bothroyd and Campbell and I am convinced at least one of them will turn out to be a good acquisition. Please don't write them off after a few matches. How many minutes has Campbell played? Hewitt is young and talented and came on a shoestring budget and can't be written off yet. Smith was a decent purchase and Mackie excellent.

Yes, he got Hulse and Clarke wrong, but his overall ratio on picking bargain players is great.

Heard this from Blades fans , that he can't spot a striker.

helguson hasnt been an excellent striker since his first stint at watford, and im a big fan of his! bothroyd needs to get his game sorted soon, cant wait for much longer when in the prem.
Cambell i think will do great for us when/if given the chance, hewitt surley isnt prem material if we're honest??? smith isnt really an out and out striker, and yeah mackie was great for us.

all in all, cambell seems to be the best and he doesnt even start him. Miller could of been affective last year but often got stuck on the wing.

I love what Warnock has done for us, but strikers doesnt seem to be his forte.

Warnock doesn't have strikers he has target men.

funny that as he used to always opt to rack em and stack em and Sheff Utd but we always seem to be 2 fwds light all the time.

I think we should judge after the January transfer window. To be fair he was unlucky with Hulse as most thought he would be a quality addition. He didn't have much time in August and opted to concentrate on the midfield and defence as he had already gambled on 2 strikers when money was tight. Now we have more money and can set our sights a bit higher. I think we'll break our transfer record on a proven goalscorer.
I'm here for a long time, not a good time...

I think he's been unlucky with Jay B - he was banging them in none stop last year. Yes, at Championship level - but he's not even hit the target this season. That's nothing to do with prem class defending, that's just to do with Jay being a pleb this season. He needs to get a couple of goals and it'd get him going.
IMO however, i liked Miller and wouldn't of minded keeping him.
