30.000 would be sufficient with the option to expand the ground at a later stage, or we'll end up like some other clubs playing in a 1/2 full stadium, it will be like playing in a morque. We are having trouble selling out our ground now never mind if it was 30.000

I thought TF said two weeks ago it would be around 45 - 50K capacity which would allow for holding other sporting and entertainment events?
Tickets at £25 - £30 for the top games and £10 - £15 for 'the Blackburns of this world' and we'd sell out easy22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Best to keep it as a training and QPR acadamy...just sell the standsOriginally posted by qprted View PostI AM THINKING THAT WE COULD PUT A HOTEL and a casino in the complex, and we will turn loftus road into a complex of luxery flats
but if we do turn loftus road into a block of flats there is a whole lot of memories that are going to be lost,so im not sure that i want the new stadium
its probabley better if i just let other people decide about the new stadium because im not so sure that i want to leave a place that i have visited for 50 years

We need to make it 30 k max at first with the option to increase when and if our support grows.
The problem with a much larger capacity, and the size of our present support, is that whenever we play another London side, or Utd, City ,Liverpool etc they`ll bring so many it wont be like a home game .
And the rest of the time there will be loads of empty seats and no atmosphere.
Got to be in the Shepherds Bush area as well , i would hate to see us move to the Middlesex suburbs.Rangers,Scooters ,Tunes and Trainers

Didnt hear this myself but I suppose it does make sense. The fact TF wants to run us as a profitable business (which is a philosophy i welcome with open arms!) tells us that we wont simply be a "football team" anymore and that such ideas as holding music concerts etc at our ground will be a way of him and Beard generating income for the club; therefore a larger capacity than may be required for the football games seems quite likely to me.Originally posted by Sotonsuperhoop View PostI thought TF said two weeks ago it would be around 45 - 50K capacity which would allow for holding other sporting and entertainment events?

Obviously nobody can tell the future, but as a club grows and establishes itself in the PL, it will attract more fans, and I hope we can attract a fanbase large enough to not leave any potential new stadium half empty as, for me, thats 1 of the worst things in football (Ricoh Arena anyone?...)You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
