Agreed. But I have to say I think that the difference is, Tony is siply giving his outside opinion and trusts the manager to do whats best for the team; whereas Flav was trying to enforce his views upon the manager and ensure they were used. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Roman Pavlyuchenko.
Quality. Scorer of goals in the Russian Premier League, Europa League, Premier League, Champions League, World Cup and European Championships. Not sure Bothroyd or Andy Johnson have that kind of cv.
Better than anything we have or anything else we're likely to get. So on that basis, yes please.

Andy Johnson on the other hand
You're being clear enough, but just not agreed with. Your mate doesn't rate him. Ok, that's clear.
I work with about 12 Spurs fans, they attend games too.
They almost all rate him very highly, and wish he'd play more games than he does.
Personally, I'd love him at Rangers."Trust In Warnock" - Don't just type it - Do It.

Yeah you could be right there mate,I'd say all our summer signings have improved the squad.Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostStill think fans are falling into the trap of saying "because x player might not be good enough for a club pushing for the champions league, they are not good enough for us."
Maybe Perone not so much

I'd take Pav anyday, much better than what we currently have in Bothroyd. Ok Pav may miss sitters and 3 out of every 4 chances, but hey thats 3 or 4 more chances than Bothroyd creates!22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Not only that, but people refer to missing a few chances, but think of the pressure that the rotated strikers of a top 4 club are under. They miss a couple of games, then go on for 20 minutes and told to make it count. Not only that but there could be massive stakes on the outcome.... not surprising they often over analyse things when they get chances and sometimes miss.Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostStill think fans are falling into the trap of saying "because x player might not be good enough for a club pushing for the champions league, they are not good enough for us."
Same as a striker off form being put through on goal with 40 yards to run and think about what they are going to do... lob keeper, round him, slot it past etc, and often mess it up, instead of a snap chance they don't have time to think about and often score.
If he played for any team every week, with less pressure, i think he'd be very good.Last edited by Del; 10-10-2011, 06:02 PM.

All good strikers miss the more chances a striker gets the more He will score and miss law of averages
Playing for Russia He maybe a lone Striker ,not many iternatioal sides play a target man unless they are blessed with goal scoring t/man .
If we were to sign pav we would have to change our system of play to suit him or bring in a T/man for Him to fit into the same system or play 2 up front ,well befor we sign him at least give Bothroyd ad DJ the chace to play 2 up front
