whether this story is factual or not - I genuinly beleive that agents are doing nothing good for football. They are taking fortunes out of the game and for that all they do is push transfer prices and wages up.

I have no problem with players wanting soneone to get them the best deal if the money was in football, but it isn't and that is why the punters have had to pay more and more and more.

Football worked before the agents - it was certainly cheaper.

Unfortunately controversy follows Willie Mackay around like a bad smell. Panorama for starters, friendships with Allardyce and Redknapp makes him an easier target (possibly justified, possibly not) - add Mackay to QPR and "scandal" makes it a dead easy story.

BTW - I love Warnock's innocence act. How much did he think Barton was being paid at Newcastle (where he was branded one of the last "mega earners" by Llambias)? He wasn't going to come here for any less was he?
