Is there anyone on this forum who would turn down free money for an accident at work?Yes they are very well paid, but there's not a man alive who feels they're being paid too much for what they do and footballers are no different. Morality simply doesn't come into it; if there's a case to be made, then let the courts decide. And do you know what? You my friend would do exactly the same.

If it were due to negilence on the employers side and resulted in loss of work and wages, then yes I agree a case should made. However, the fact its clearly a freak accident, playing football it will happen, and the fact that he was continued to be paid (a farking lot of dough too!) i think, IF this is story is true, the bloke is a complete low life.

He will never have to work a day in his life, he must be sitting on millions and instead of being grateful for the club thats paid his way for the past 4 years (?) he considers a law suit for yet more money?

Think he needs to try and get back in touch with reality.

I've heard it said that he wasn't wearing shinpads in that training session. If that's so he will succeed as the onus is on the employer to ensure all precautions possible are taken to prevent injury. Not saying I want him to succeed but such is life.
