Most posters on this board predicted we would beat Wigan so does that make us "muppets"...no of course it doesn't,all supporters will fancy their own team to win

Even a draw against them would be fantastic.

Disagree this is a game we should be looking to win

I read the whole thread from beginning to end. Have to disagree with your assessment that they're not showing us respect; the OP said he felt confident, and one other poster who then said that was why he was worried. Most posters felt that they would have to be playing well and man marking AT to cope with us and they recognised that Joey and SWP had the potential to hurt them(not physically I hope!)
Most agreed they would need to strike early as our team wouldn't have gelled but would be much stronger as the game progressed. All in all I feel Newcastle fans are OK.

They've had a good start, so they will be confident.
They're just gonna be very unhappy and at the end!!!!!!!!!:pleasantsuprise:

Newcastle won't be an easy game. Personally I think it will take 4-5 games for the new players to bed in and get used to the way we play and for NW to find the right team.

We'll be a work in progress for a good month and I'd take a point against a Newcastle team that has started pretty well.

Looking at the table and their first three games this season, why do they need to show us any respect ? After saying that, I fully expect them to go back to the North East with no points.

That 5-5 was prob the best game iv ever seen at QPR. The atmosphere was unbelievable in the 2nd half.
