im hoping crap like giving players contracts behind the managers back is to become a thing of the past at our club now...time for the club to gets it act together and ship out certain individuals. For too long **** like that has been going on ...we are premier league and must start being run as such.

I made a comment on twitter about it being a shame that Hogans missed out but that it shows how good our squad is now... Only he wasnt impressed...

It was probably a little insensitive of me to say anything as i guess he's really gutted at the moment...
      We got our Ranger's back!

Why is everyone so shocked over Hogan? He was too lightweight for the Championship wouldnt cut it in the prem.

2 keepers with the young italian as emergency cover and bring Hulse or Hogan in. Very tight up front

What has happened to Hulse,I realise he is pretty crap but at least he was cover,I think Neil has made a mistake only having 3 strikers in his squad

Hulse has been complete and utter pony since he joined and had more shockers than the national grid.... and that's when he's not injured. What exactly has he done to be worthy of a place? I was however surprised Hogan didn't make it.

I wouldn't worry as i think it's going to be few and far between that we play 2 up top, instead opting for 1 up and 3 behind, or a front 3, of which 2 will be pacy wide players. So to mix it up in those formations we have:

                  Bothroyd
                  DJ
                  Helgussen
                  SWP
                  Puncheon
                  Taraabt
                  Dyer
                  Mackie
                  Buz
                  Smith

We can do without Hulse. We may have an issue if both Bothroyd and Helgussen are out through injury / suspension, but other than that we'll be fine.

Overall, great squad and one we could've only dreamed of a few weeks ago... how time's change. The future's bright, the future's Blue and White!!

He didnt start playing untill he was 19 years old, the rules on home grown players state that a player has to be registered for three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday.

So you have to be registered by the age of 18...

I suspect NW considers Taarabt, Smith & Mackie as strikers, making 6.

I know they play wide or behind the front man, but all 3 could perform a front man role if necessary.

Yeah three strikers not so much of a problem when we only normally play 1!

                              Its not 3 strikers.

                              We have 7.

DJ, Bothroyd & Helguson are out and out strikers.

But Mackie, Smith, SWP & Adel are all very capable in the role too.
