So who will miss out today ?

For me Perone, Shittu, Ramage, Vaagen-Moen, Hulse and poor Jamie Mackie. I do think he'll be loaned out once 100% fit with a view to him taking Puncheons place in January.

    Squad of 25
    1 Kenny
    2 Murphy
    3 Cerny

    4 Young
    5 Orr
    6 Traore
    7 Hill
    8 Ferdinand
    9 Gabbidon
    10 Connolly
    11 Hall

    12 Derry
    13 Dyer
    14 Faurlin
    15 Barton
    16 Buzsaky
    17 Ephraim
    18 Wright-Philips
    19 Taarabt
    20 Puncheon

    21 Bothroyd
    22 Campbell
    23 Smith
    24 Helguson
    25 Agyemang

If NW wanted a gamble, he could consider our Trani from AC/DC Milan as 3rd choice keeper and replace Cerny with an outfield player (probably Perone ?) Or is there a stipulation that 3/25 must be Keepers ?

Mackie in instead of Hogan IMO. Otherwise totally agree (including goalkeeper comment at bottom, put the lad in).

Didnt notice that, agree with that Ginge. I think Perone will be in, cant see why Neil would have signed him if he wasnt going to name him.

if mackie is being loaned out(for me a wise decision) then keep in ephraim. not going to lie id rather hulse than agyemang.

then again id rather a half fit mackie than agyemang

Mine was based on 3 considerations, mainly from Warnocks perspective -

Warnock really likes Hogan, he tried to buy him at Palace.

Mackie is injured and it could be 2 months before he's deemed 100% match fit. A squad number might be a waste until November by which time we'll know more about Puncheon.

Hulse is awol, played virtually no part in pre season, so I'm figuring he's joined Vine, Borrowdale, Cookie, Rowly and the Italians.

Perone may well be included, but at who's cost ?
Orr has struggled, Hall our sicknote ? I think NW prefers both of them.

Any player under 21 does not have to be included in the 25 man squad to be eligable to play. Our Trani is only 17, so can be included in the match-day squad if needed.

Is he the only one in our squad under 21!? That's bad.

Ok, bruno and Harrison too but don't see them making the bench even now.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Orr miss out in favour of Perone. He signed Perone so must see a use for him, plus don';t forget we have cover at RB behind Young, as Connolly can certainly play there if required as could Dyer (clearly an option Warnock fancies after the Bolton starting 11).

I think he'd consider Perone as a CM, or possibly back up for Defensive midfield, so another reason to include him, wheras Orr can only play RB.

Mackie can't be included as nowhere near fit, and nobody knows if he'll even regain his form after such a bad injury. He would need to go out on loan.

Traore is 21 so do we include him or do they have to be under 21?

Is rather make do with 4 strikers and have perone in favour of agyemang. After all, if things get desperate, taarabt or puncheon can play up front.

Traore was born in October 1989, so he will be 22 this October. A player must be under 21 on the 1st January in which the season comences to qualify.

My understanding is that you have to have been born after January 1st 1990 to be counted as under 21 and Traore was born in October '89 so will have to be included in the 25.

As for Trani he is under 21 but he hasn't been registered to the FA for three seasons so again my understanding is that he would have to be included in the 25 to appear.
