Just playing devils advocate here for a minute, and I'm not saying I am disapointed with our signings. But if what has been said IS true then maybe you can see why he/she said it. Personally I think Barton will be key out of all the signings.

Our squad was better than theirs when we got promoted. Our squad was better than theirs when we brought in our first batch of predominantly free signings and they did their deals. Our squad was better than theirs when the window closed last night.

Did I mention, our squad is better than theirs - by a million miles and we will be looking down on them for a whole season after which they can pop on back to the championship with the welsh donuts.

Well. If you were to play absolute semantics "top-class prem signings" then I don't know a team other than the usual suspects who have acquired such players.

We've got very decent "prem quality" now....... and they don't like it.

Not only the fact we've got great players in (even before Fernandes) we have got them for relative peanuts. I mean Stoke spent £22m on Crouch, Palacios, Jerome..... Personally i would prefer Bothroyd, Barton, DJ.... and we got them for a combined £1.25m!

Our owners have worked wonders in the last month or so, even T&C as tight as they were, getting Both, DJ, Dyer and Gabbidon for next to nothing is great work.

Norwich have looked pretty good since they've come up and given their resources seem to have done okay business on young hungry players (although I don't fancy their strike force). Lambert is clearly an excellent manager and I think they might well stay up.

How they can possibly say we are certs to be around relegation and they will be safe due to spirit??

They will have a right old shock coming their way..
We have mixed experienced prem players , with hungry young talent, and explosive skill, also have players with a point to prove.

They have never had abetter squad/team/manager than us in last 2 years etc.

I wouldnt swap Warnock in a million years for Lambert either.

Wonder what their sad excuses will be when they fail miserably and get relegated by March and we are flying high!!!

What will be even funnier is the fact when the manager sackings start, there's bound to be someone come in for Lambert sooner rather than later as he has worked wonders to be fair.

If not during the season, it will be when they get relegated, after which they will start to slide again to the point they won't be able to afford Holt's Pie stash let alone any decent players.
