Could be that things are so frantic that announcements are the least of the club's priorities.
      Be nice to Minty

Not as much trouble as a fortnight ago even if we sign no-one today.

Can't remember us ever being linked to so many players of this quality!!
Think the best we had before was when we got Spencer,& Peacock on the same day.

What I think people need to remember is that there is a lot of paper work and back office sh*t that has to be done when signing players so try to be a bit patient. We are signing players todays and we are not going to get the paperwork wrong (again)

So at the end it was just the two we knew about at the start of the day BUT at one stage it could have been none,at another stage Bellamy or Crouch were signing so probably not as good as some(me included)expected but we got two good players in today and while disappointed we didn't get a striker we now have a decent squad and have given ourselves a decent chance of staying up.

Good? How many better players have we had than SWP in the last 20 years? Blimey Matthew, I know there were disapointments like with Basong, but aren't you ever happy?

Yeah, we know how much you rate him, must be on the edge of your seat to see if that has gone through...

Don't get me wrong,I'm happy we for SWP and Anton today, but the point I was making with the original thread was this transfer dead line day could have been unbelievable if all the hype was believed,Crouch,Bellamy and also Bossong was coming,so as I said a good day all considered but not the day to be remembered that it should have been. That aside since Fernandes has come in we have improved our squad considerably and at least Neil will have 4 months now to plan for January window
