FOOTBALL: BBC Sport's chief football writer Phil McNulty reports that QPR could be ready to take advantage of Stoke City's failure to conclude a deal for Peter Crouch by making an £11m move for the England striker.

£11mill?! Jesus christ thats abit over priced aint it? As much as I like Crouchey and would love to see him back in a Rangers shirt, not sure Id wanna spend £11mill on him!

Rather use those funds for Onouha, SWP & Dann to be honest.

                  But hey, TF's money eh!

Yeah would be a fantastic. The thing is the tv pictures showed PC leaving with a few belongings under his arm.Now he could just be going home , but the fella in the studio is saying we'll try and track down where he's going. So don't know.Harry has already said he's going nowhere.

I would be surprised if they blew £11m on one player, especially of his age, but that said it would be a sign of intent, beyond what they've achieved so far.

Also, he probably only wants to have so many new players so there remains a core of the team already here, and getting JB for free, Young and Traore cheap, and potentially (please) SWP at bargain budget price, there could be a large sum available still.

I just hope if true, which i doubt tbh, they have the funds for another CB still...

If there is an offer, i expect it "could be worth" £11m with massive add ons for scoring x amount of goals, staying up, playing X amount of games, etc... initial fee may be around £6-7m

They have. On the table for Crouch is a 4 year deal matching his current Spurs terms.

But he really doesn't want to go to Stoke!!

yes, but we are speculatring on speculation.

Would not be 11 million. Maybe the "deal" is worth that including wages.....wait a minute I am just speculating now!
