    so there was me thinking...

....that poor tormented Joe, was pacing the floor of his hotel room,
confused, angst ridden, lost in thought, looking for a sign, a moment of clarity.
His agent sitting on the edge of his bed, contract in hand, gently coaxing Joey to do the decent thing and put all those nice QPR fans out of there misery.......
but good news, no need to worry about poor Joey, apparently he had a nice dinner with his music Lawyer mate and now off to a Puma launch party.

Somehow I feel so much better now

Maybe we should lay on a couple of roasting companions and convince him that London has more to offer than Newcastle...

But yes, know what you mean.

In my opinion it's all an act to keep on good terms with geordies. He's signed. He just wants to make out to them that he's thinking about it over night. Look at warnock when he was on his way to us. He loved palace and went on about them in every interview....much to the angst of many on here. All a game.

I imagine Lotto wouldn't have been too happy if he signed today and then went to a Puma event the same day. A reason for the delay maybe?

Don't worry he's not enjoying one minute of it.

Exactly what i think. He has two options No1 He says Newcastle are going knowhere fast and i am going to a club who has ambition and wants me....... He gets abuse from the Geordie fans his family get abuse/death threats in the street for the next few weeks before they move or No 2 He says , i dont want to leave Newcastle,i love it there, looks as though he has been dragged down to London by his agent ,hands in pockets, yawning looking very unhappy and signs a contract but keeps dragging it out til tomorrow so it looks like it has been a very tough decision........The Geordies love him and give him a standing ovation at loftus rd,he can go back up North whenever he wants to visit and will be seen as a Geordie great, his family get respect etc etc etc......Think his got a brain on him after all..

In fairness though our ambition is to be a smaller Newcastle, ie a mid-table prem team. however you dress it up it isn't the move upwards he's been looking for. But if its the only game in town...

After 'castles performance tonight it is no surprise AP wants JB back and is willing to eat humble pie. Somehow I just can not see JB signing for us....

How about he doesn't really want to sign for us and is waiting for his agent's phone to ring with a better club?

If he signs, it'll be on Wednesday when he finally realises he is not as great as he thinks he is and that most clubs see him as a liability or not good for their image off the field - hence no other takers so far.

The sooner he grows up, the better.

If so I hope he is made aware that next week our offer is lowered...
