Just keeping to his script maybe? Not happy to have been forced out of toon, doesn't want to leave, but hey, life goes on and I will go and do my job elsewhere. Didn't expect smiles and laughter really as it would totally contradict the way he has been to date. Glass half full maybe but like has been said, he's got all the way to 2nd stage of his med so it's going to be a positive whatever. Fernandes and Warnock have done a good job at selling the club to him.

His agent seems happier than he does but you have to understand his disappointment seeing he has played both games for Newcastle this season.

Ashley clearly doesn't want him there and we could profit from that.

It's not a dream move for him, but one out of necessity. Yes it may be a great offer, and i'm sure if he joins he will be more than happy once in the door, but let's not forget it would still mean relocating a massive distance which isn't really a barrel of laughs no matter who you are... so until it's either signed sealed and delivered, or he's had another offer, i don't really expect him to be that expressive at all.

Not to mention, he's used to playing in front of 52,000 fans who adored him, and he's contemplating the prospect of playing in front of 15,000..... some come down no matter how biased we are.
