I do belive this takeover will go ahead, and I hope it does.

But why do newspapers claim quotes, as if to suggest the subject has spoken directly to them?

They saw him say it on tv at the badminton tournament at Wembley on sunday, on Sky Sports News.
We all did.

As previous poster said, transfer negotiations can still be done prior to this announcement. It could well have already happened, just not offical until thurs.
