Think DJ will take 9 not 39.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

9 is normally reserved for a striker not a winger, although obviously it doesn't really make any difference.

Puncheon I think. Unless Fernandes does in fact give us money. But most likely punch.

With DJ, punch and 1-2 defenders, we're all set! Bring on Bolton!

Helguson should feel well annoyed at not keeping number 9 shirt. DJ wears 39 everywhere it seems, Helguson might not start the majority of games but still. He didn't do anything wrong in that shirt

                Oh God.

Please someone tell me this Puncheon thing is a bad dream.

May as well give Lee Cook a squad number.

No numbers for Cook or Rowlands either.
Agree, but Heidar knows he will be backup this season, and I think he's fine with beeing 22

In my opinion Bothroyd should be 9 and Campbell 10

Interesting, so no Cook and Rowlands then for the Premiership.

DJ wore 19 the year Blackpool went up. He wore 10 for the years he was at Leicester and wore 39 last season after Ormerod and Harewood were given the 9 and 10 shirt because they were already at the club. This makes me think he wore 39 because he could not because he necessarily wanted to.

I'd assume he would be given the number 9 shirt.

I like the idea of that

                              Puncheon?

Seen him play throughout his career - from a kid at Wimbledon, through Lewes and Barnet.

He isn't IMO a PL or Championship level player. He's worked hard to get where he is today, no doubt but seriously, a PL player??

Honestly, we'd be better off re-signing Kevin McLeod on a free. He's only a couple of years older.

I havent seen "throughout" his career but I did see him at Blackpool last season and he really proved that he is a decent premiership player.
Go and Find the Blackpool vs Chelsea highlights from last season, and you'll probably change your opinion mate.
