Agree, but Heidar knows he will be backup this season, and I think he's fine with beeing 22Originally posted by Morris View PostHelguson stripped of the number 9 shirt, harsh IMO but looks like it will go to DJ.
No numbers for Cook or Rowlands either.
In my opinion Bothroyd should be 9 and Campbell 10

DJ wore 19 the year Blackpool went up. He wore 10 for the years he was at Leicester and wore 39 last season after Ormerod and Harewood were given the 9 and 10 shirt because they were already at the club. This makes me think he wore 39 because he could not because he necessarily wanted to.
I'd assume he would be given the number 9 shirt.

I like the idea of thatOriginally posted by MattyRangers View PostThe fact DJ will more than likely be 39, makes me wonder whether Warnock is lining up another striker for the number 9.... Keane maybe?
Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Puncheon?Originally posted by W12hoops View PostYou obviously havent seen him play..
Seen him play throughout his career - from a kid at Wimbledon, through Lewes and Barnet.
He isn't IMO a PL or Championship level player. He's worked hard to get where he is today, no doubt but seriously, a PL player??
Honestly, we'd be better off re-signing Kevin McLeod on a free. He's only a couple of years older.

I havent seen "throughout" his career but I did see him at Blackpool last season and he really proved that he is a decent premiership player.Originally posted by Nodge70 View PostPuncheon?

Go and Find the Blackpool vs Chelsea highlights from last season, and you'll probably change your opinion mate.
