eastcote do they breed ha9's in that area???? ffs its reality our full back arent good enough, Neil know's it and we the fans know it but don't just ignore the issues, ffs we will bring pete back if we want more spin
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Definatelty not havin' a pop....I'd actually put myself in the positive camp. I am getting close to the 'child on Christmas eve' state just thinking about the start of the season. Of course - having a good laugh at my work colleagues (nearly all CC fans) does help put things in to perspective.

Also just got my tickets for the Bolton game (X Block).

        Can't fooking wait

Am totally with you on the positivity front re our attacking options but can't agree that we need to give Hill and Orr a chance. With three in fairly attacking positions Faurlin and Derry are going to be over-run on a regular basis and we will desperately need mobile, fast full backs who can get up and down and be an outlet. One of the main differences between Championship and Premiership. In the top division it simply isnt good enough to be a "solid defender" imho of course.

Think a lot will depend on who plays in front of the full backs. Someone like Mackie, when fit, will track back and not leave his FB exposed. AT or WR may be a different story but you can't take all the creativity out of the team. Should get away with it against mid to bottom teams, but as someone else said will struggle against the top sides.

Wasn't the question , was merely about strikers , you know what mate for me you come under the phrase of never happy, I ask a question about the strikers. Which is a positive and you ignore it and instead reply with a negative point which wasn't in the original post

Gabbidon is poor and we only have Hall who is a decent defender.

Our fullbacks run like they are moving through a swamp, the defence got blackpool relegated and I think we will have the same problems

****ing hell you miserable ****,how did you manage to turn this thread negative?

I think we ve done very well, bothroyd and cambell both hungry and have lots of talent, also will hopefully bounce of adel really well. Things are looking up!

You aren't wrong WeAre - Blackpool's defence got them relegated...just. Now look at their defence and look at who we have at the moment. Tell me honestly, how many would you swap?

Granted, Orr and Hill arent the best full backs in the world, and will on occasions (against the very best) be torn a new one. But I honestly think that our defence isn't too bad for a bottom half club. I can certainly think of 5/6 clubs with potentially worse defences.

Alright calm down, take a tablet and breathe.

My point is all the good work done from our attacking players will be waisted because our defence well get shown up. It will be very similar to blackpool.

Good going forward but poor at the back. We haven't invested in the backline and it will cost us imo.

I doubt that if after the Cardiff away game last season somebody told us we could have Bothroyd on a free and DJ (the man with 13 PL goals) up top for this coming season, any sane QPR fan would have said no. IMO of course.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Fair point mate but I think the lack of pace is my concern. Gorkks and connolly will be shown up and our full backs r championship level. I do think we lack pace throughout the side and premiership strikers r far more clinical. We got lucky on quite a few games where Kenny rescued us last season.

The 2 best strikers imo in the championship last season were King and Graham. Both embarrassed our defence and last seasons clean sheets shouldn't blind the fact that there r plenty of poor strikers in that division.
