  • if dj signing come off , could we have expected a better front 2 ?

if looks as likely dj signs could we have realistically have expected any better then dj and boothroyd? i know we were linked with a lot of diff players unrealistically in my opinion with a lot of them, but really think out of the promoted teams we would have done the best in terms of transfers, our attacking line better then a lot of the botttem 8,
so the question is what better 2 could we have got (realistically)

We've done fantastic getting these two in and couldn't have got any better, and it's been along time since QPR had 2 real strikers imo ( Gallen & Furlong were the last )
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

You've clearly still missed the fact that his name is Bothroyd, and not Boothroyd. This is what has been highlighted.

Agree Eastcoate think Bothroyd and Campbell with Tabs playing just behind them is excellent, and really good business by the club. Also in Alejandro and Paddy we have the making of a good spine in the team (centre halves could be stronger but are certainly a lot better than Ian Evett). Where we are weak is fullback. Ideally we would have another holding midfielder to challenge Derry and a winger but we might survive without them. Think the success or failure of this transfer window will be judged by what rabbits Neil pulls out of hats at left and right back because don't think we will stay up with Hill and Orr.

...and we've got Mackie to come back. he'll create some havoc too - short but stacked.

By the way, I make you not far wrong - couldn't ask for much more than DJ and Bothroyd. I reckon they'll get 20-25 goals between them. Providing we keep Adel and they stay fit of course. Signing WR could also up that tally.

No need to apologse, mate. I just wanted to point out that he wasn't disagreeing, as such. Just having a laugh.

agree, but would still like to think wed give them a chance, must say that spine not to shabby at all, we suddenly look like we have got a fighting chance, we need all the fans to back them and i tell you what mate really think we could be competetive and pull off a few shock results, definately not as negative now as it looked for a few a few weeks ago

Yeah and the worst defence in the division.

Gabbidon is poor and we only have Hall who is a decent defender.

Our fullbacks run like they are moving through a swamp, the defence got blackpool relegated and I think we will have the same problems
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
