Free Kicks

Who do you think should be taking them, Adel in my opinion is definately not the man for this as we saw last season.
It would be interesting to see the stats on our free kick takng last season if anyone has it.

I will start this off and say Faurlin, reason being when I have seen him take one (when allowed by Adel) they have looked dangerous.

Anyone else, and what of our new boys? Mind you if we get Bullard in I know he strikes a good one.

I am not quite sure PVM will manage to hold down a regular place in the team. But whenever he plays he is an excellent candidate - his freekicks are deadly, often described as "Norway's Beckham".

Faurlin should be the free kick and comer taker but because of Adel this won't happen. Also if Buz is on the pitch he should take free kicks as he is the best at them. The thing that annoys me most about his free kicks is it takes him ages to get there because he strolls along and they're eventually sh ite.

We definately need someone who take good ones as Taarabt is going to be hacked all over the place and it could be our secret weapon (ala stokes throw-ins).

I must be going mad, but I thought Adel's delivery from free kicks and corners was at times top class! we just didn't have the decent players to use brains and get onto the end of them. Direct free kicks, not 1 player in the world will score or hit the target every time from one. If they are set up for a left footer, then let a left footer take them, if for a right footer Adel, Bullard if he signs, other then that no one in our team that will start week in week out would be better then Adel.

I think its reference to his direct free kicks which if I'm totally honest are no where near the quality of Buzsaky's

I'm not a fan of Adel on direct set-pieces. He's indirect free kicks and corners got a lot better as the season went on. The lad knows how to pick a team mate out, that's for sure.

ahhh I see, I thought it was free kicks or delivery in general. Yer agree Buz has them in his locker, but he is never on the pitch to take them. If set up for a left footer, Faurlin. But for a right footer, I cant think of anybody who starts who would be any better at trying to goal for goal then Adel. If dyer plays, wonder if he can whip one in?.
