My job is challenging on a daily basis, and very stressful at times, especially the last 2 1/2 years due to the mess this country is in. Still, survival of the fittest. I got through it, and things are picking up again. I like to think I'm quite knowledgeable in my field too.

I work in IT sales for a business to business reseller and solutions provider.
Agree 100% Benny, I have a lot of gob, but in sales and relationship building, you need to adapt yourself to the customer. Not into all that phsycology , mirroring their movements etc, but I have a lot of "Do as you likeys" who buy 4x4's in that instance you can swear, promise this and that, make them think their getting something extra, where as when I deal with the owners of a multi million pound big corporate company, you reign it in a little and put the total professional hat on.

Selling is a skill that is rapidly going down hill in this country...
Getting people to like you..thats 75% of it.

              I work in advertising.

No problems at all getting to games. Weekends free, evenings I'm just a ten minute walk from Chancery Lane station

Could not agree more as one minute I could be selling say £500 worth of materials to a one man builder and in the afternoon sat with the Directors of Mitie or Barratt Homes in a high powered meeting so its all a matter of adapting to your customers needs

Spot on Jeffro. People buy from people and it's all about rapport. Not something that most sales people are good at especially on the phone!
So sorry to hear it's Toyota you sell must be tough. Shame you're not in BMW who are 18% up yoy with corporate up 25% on last year. Mrs Old is having her best year ever and will do over 500 cars on her own! (but she is good and lucky enough to be married to me!)

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
