what about this years wage bill? remembering a lot of players on promotion clauses ie vine 40k per week dave 35k per week hall similar etc etcOriginally posted by Gerryhatrick View Post50 mill debt, but 9 mill for Adel, and 40 mill prem/TV money coming in means nearly break even, but I'll bet at year end we'll still be 50 mill in debt, wait and see.

never said that, in your own post you state this years money plus the sale of taraabt covers our previous 3 years losses, therefore saying we start fresh this year but with no sky money in (as used to cover previous losses as mentioned) unless our players/coaching staff play / work for nothing we will incur whatever the salaries are as losses for this year , not hard to follow mateOriginally posted by Gerryhatrick View Postis our wage bill 50 mill a year? wow.
our gates are no way big enough to cover the first 11 let alone rest of team reserves coaches etc etc

fair point mate, I was quoting an extreme to prove a point which is that if we are not spending on bringing players in, our debt should reduce, but I'll bet it doesn'tOriginally posted by rangerforevereastcote View Postnever said that, in your own post you state this years money plus the sale of taraabt covers our previous 3 years losses, therefore saying we start fresh this year but with no sky money in (as used to cover previous losses as mentioned) unless our players/coaching staff play / work for nothing we will incur whatever the salaries are as losses for this year , not hard to follow mate

lets assume every ticket every game sold avg £40 to allow for kids etcOriginally posted by Gerryhatrick View PostPlus ST sales 3-4 mill, adv tix sales 2 mill, on the day walk ups 2 mill, merchandising (if the kit ever arrives), sky TV live at £600k a pop x 5 or 6, legsofwood sale 500k, future parachute payments......
18500x£40= 740k per game x 19 = 14.6 mill plus merc at your fig of 2mill =16.6 mill lets add in sky money (not sure if inc in the money sky pay) 6 x 500 k =3 mll
=19.6 mill
wage bill vine hall and dave on their own near on 6 mill, lets just say the avg therefore for remaining 22 players in squad avg 15k ( will be higher)
22x 15k= 330 k x 52 = 17 60000 plus the 6 mentioned above = 23.6 mill
already there is a 4 mill defecit before we talk all other players coaches medical staff , people in box office cleaners police bills etc etc etc
we will easily lose another 15 mill next year

The primary reason for prem wages being so high is the sky/tv money, gates receipts become insignificant by comparison.
Also, ST prices rose by 50%, but have our wages increased by 50% also? We made losses in the Championship, but due to TV money in the prem we should make a profit which is why most clubs invest 10-20 million on new players. We haven't done that.....yet. So therefore, turnover this year should reduce our debt, agreed?

i would agree it should , unfortunately the deals we agreed with players 3 years ago coming back to bite us on the ####, where you start making money is the following year, see the example above mate we really arent going to make anything cos of the deals for players like the 3 mentioned plus players like cook etc who arent going to play in the league next year and need to be replaced by players on big money, the big issue is our gate size , add another 6-7k in attendebce and things look different, wish it wasnt the case it just isOriginally posted by Gerryhatrick View PostThe primary reason for prem wages being so high is the sky/tv money, gates receipts become insignificant by comparison.

sorry just reread your post, think the reason why were not spending and keeping wages tight for that exact reason so we dont lose loads more, someone posted theother day we have 14 -17 players out of contract next summer inc some big salaried players , once they go we are in a much healthier position, wouldnt suprise me if they would take relegation clear out rebuild in a better way and come again (of course if we stayed up then a massive bonus can start to rebuild next year)Originally posted by Gerryhatrick View PostThe primary reason for prem wages being so high is the sky/tv money, gates receipts become insignificant by comparison.
