It would have been bad enough for them to have put the ticket prices up to a level which prices out many loyal fans if they were going to invest in the team to make us competitive. To do it and then refuse to release any funds for players, even from the sale of our star man,is just downright disgraceful. We were told the tickets had to go up by so much to enable us to compete with other London clubs.Somebody tell me in what way a transfer budget of £1.25 million is competitive.

I'm not FB and BE's greatest fan but hear me out on this one ........

Last season NW proved what can be achieved on little transfer money and he put together a team which proved good enough to get promotion and even to win the league. Why is it so wrong for our owners not to think that with the addition of a few astute signings we wont compete in the PL?

It is often said the bottom 8 teams in the PL and the top 8 teams in the Championship aren't that far apart interms of achievement and performance on the pitch. So adding JB, KD and by the sounds of it DJ and Bullard, they would be in their right to think we have a chance of a midtable finish.

FB and BE are winners and lets be honest, have achieved PL status as they predicted. Come January if we are struggling at the bottom of the league they will spend to secure their investment (QPR in the PL). Giving NW 5 months to see how things go makes good business sense. Why do fans expect them to consistantly throw their own money at the club? If you had their kind of money would you throw away money month after month without thinking about the long term consequences?

They have not said further money won't be available if Adel is sold and they would fully understand that a quality replacement would be needed if he does go. They are no mugs.

Perhap NW over achieved last season with the transfer money at his disposal, to the detriment of this seasons transfer budget? Who knows? All I know is that this is the best time to support QPR since the heady days of the 90's when we were Londons top club and I for one will enjoy every minute of it.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

One massive point you overlook which destroys your argument - they are selling Adel, who got us promoted virtually single handed (18 goals, 22 assists) and Warnock says he will not see a penny of the money.

            Spot on.

Throw the loss of routledge into the mix as well and we are far weaker than last year.

weaker team playing stronger sides = relegation

You know what - think a lot here would actually - it would be spend spend spend. No thought of intelligent investment, or prudence with their money. Thats why our owners are seriously well off. They've got a bit of nouse.
                  Good post btw!

Nouse? Yea at the expense of raping a club blind before departing.

                    Nice traits to have.

It's easy to spend other people's money, as I have done with that Scottish couple who won £160 odd million.

I just bought the old 'Rhythm Station' in Aldershot and am going to reopen it, bought some houses and cars, oh and me missus wanted a yacht, so yes, it is easy spending other peoples money.

happy campers etc etc, is more about perspective. Its only footie, and not worth expending any stress or anger over! Thats why we/they are happy! You should try it!

It's threads like this that actually make me stay on this board. (Sorry.) Get really tired of the happy clappy positive poster who tries to spin everything and it's great that there are still some left that some would call "pessimist" - I call "realist" - who can see through all the b@ll@x and tell it like it is.

Been told I've been a bit pessimistic on here lately but guess what? I've seen the light and now I've become positive...

I AM POSITIVE THAT THIS SEASON WE ARE WELL AND TRULY F@CKED!

To those who think that Warnock will somehow survive the season and keep QPR up I say...in your dreams.

Unless T&C change their attitude and provide funds for some big improvements to be made. I think QPR will lose 20 games this season and be luck to win 4. R

This season will make the 1968/69 look like a huge success when QPR finished bottom with a then record low of 18 points having won 4 and drawn 10 out of 42 matches.
