    Our LB and RB problem.

All this talk of JB JB AND DJ but who are we hoping to get in as full backs?

We've been linked with so many players but not many in those positions. I think we can agree its somewhere we have to strengthen for the prem, no?

    Who are our realistic targets?

No one is in a position to answer that because there is a massively bigger question lurking behind all of this, which is does Warno have a budget, a board or even a job to look forward to this season. Still time to pull it all together but right now nobody on message boards has a clue about the big things going on behind the scenes...

Yeah our Full Backs were a massive problem last season weren't they.

We've defenders who know how to defend, that's good enough for me.

They did a great job last season - for sure. But you really think they are good enough for a top 17 finish?

If Warnock has budgets, he cannot fix every solution. NW said his priority is CBs and Strikers. Having a decent CB is more important than having a good full back.

Besides, In Neil we trust - he has the budget and I trust him to make the right call.

Can see your point there deffo. I suppose this is exactly why its gone quiet with rumours for these positions.

Thinking back wasn't Naughton close to being on the bus at one point though?

would love us to sign tosic, but then again i want us to have clint hill in the team.. makes a difference having somebody like him putting everything on the line.

would love walker-like rightback to bomb up and down. but orr can defend as can hill. the only thing we miss is a fullback who can go beyond the midfielder. if we sign a quality winger we wont need that.

Don't think full backs are as a big a priority as Strikers or CB's.

More than happy with Hill at L/B ( agree we need cover )

Can see us getting a right back with Orr as cover .

1 New C/B to play with either Hall/Gorkks/ Shittu or Connelly

2 new strikers ( Looks like DJ and JB ) with Helgursson and Hulse as back up

3 Talk of bullard ( to replace Tarabbt )

                + One surprise marquee signing ( Havn't got a clue )

I suppose Ridgewell is a realistic target.

                  Upson too.

those two would be good signings.

id like to loan a young fullback like.. say.. walker? if not him then naughton!

There's also the loan market and moves will start to happen on the "other positions" once the bigger guns determine their 25 man squads - pick up some of the surplus players that need games and are better off playing in the lower reaches of the EPL than the CCC

Doesn´t a full back having a trial with us at the moment?

Full back is a big concern. One of the massive step ups from the Championship is that it simply isnt good enough to be a solid defender as a fullback. Fullbacks are the "secret weapon" of all successful sides, they flood the midfield then make the overlap. If we keep Hill and Orr as first choice we will go down, simple as that. There was talk of Naughton and Bertrand who wd certainly fit the bill but its all gone v quiet - as I say, poor Warno is prob so desperate to get one centre forward who can actually score a goal, full backs have prob fallen down his list of priorities, understandably, but it would be a major error of judgement (Chapter 97) by the board to think the existing players will do.

Walker would be amazing but won't happen.. Naughton would be classy.

Full backs were not a problem last season, but how will they cope against the likes of Bale, Valencia, Young, Downing, Johnson, Silva, Walcott & Lennon?

I'd rather some full backs who have a bit o pace as well as defensive ability.

Unless major improvements are made (and 3 or 4 new players is nowhere near enough), QPR's squad will be so out of depth that I feel it will be a long hard season.
