As someone already said, it isn't the Club's fault, but it will be in due course, once the spin doctors get into it.
The obvious major problem with it is as Nodge said, every other player will use it as a benck mark. It could end up causing a whole heap of grief.

weel to start with it is allegedly his agent as even you just put it, for all we know it could have come from our club... only one person knows and he aint saying nothing

it will only make things worse as other clubs now know what we have offered and can offer more, and will make us look stupid as this could go from our signing to losing out on yet another player cause our fans cant help themselves from posting all the details

But surely you can see the potential problems this information would cause.
Highlights include the fact every other current player has a yard stick.
All potential new signings have the same precedent.
Any potential competitor for his signature knows what they have to do to beat the offer (and it's clearly a final offer)
