Our defence was immense last year. It just needs to be improved in terms of distribution, and supporting the attack. We should be keeping it pretty much the same, and working our way through the team and getting the goals. If we can keep that solid at the back, but score more goals - we will be up there, why not?

He is easily our best asset. Selling him - unless he badly wants to move - would be a joke. And the impression you get from his demeanour on the field is that he doesn't want to leave. Have to agree with scott, he is a clas player and still young for the position he plays in. Give him a season with gorks as our first choice pairing and i think that with the addition of a couple of strikers and we will be sitting pretty at the end of the season

Not sure id class Stewart as Brilliant. He had a great season, and can be very good - but doesnt have the class the Connolly has. Not so long ago, Stewart was probably rated as one of our worst players who we couldnt wait to see the back off. Connolly is very young and will get better and better. He could also be a big part of our future if we do get promoted. Fitz Hall doesnt even compare to matt connolly. Thats like comparing Bob Malcome with Danny Maddix.

Why cant we have strikers, and our best defenders? I dont see why we would have to have one or the other? surely we should be building on to a good team we already have, not selling, then building up again.
