Eight QPR First Team squad members, including experienced midfielder Gavin Mahon, will leave the Club when their contracts expire over the coming weeks.

Mahon, Georgios Tofas, Josh Parker, Lee Brown, Joe Oastler, Elliott Cox, Romone Rose and Pascal Chimbonda will all move on to pastures new.

Speaking to www.qpr.co.uk, R's gaffer Neil Warnock explained: "There are some really good lads with good quality amongst the eight that we've released.

"This could be just what they need to go on and kick-start their careers. I wish them all the best."

The Club would like to thank all eight players for their contribution to QPR and wish them the very best for the future.
These are just the players whose contracts are about to expire. More will be released if they are sold for the right price

I think this is only a fraction of the players that will leave the club, the others who are still under contract will have they name circulated to other clubs,

Those that want to hang around and see out contracts will be loaned out as suggested above ( hopefully).

By the end of August I expect around 15+ players would have left the club either on perm deals, released or loans, so be cool dudes.
        Kept the faith!

We've got 38 on the books, so there must be more to go. Is the limit 25?

Amazed that we are thanking Chimbonda for his contribution to QPR, when so many true servants of the club, and people who have done so much more for us, have been let go in the past without thanks or with a simple "The club will make no further comment."

Hang your heads in shame QPR......

                      Great post and spot on.

I am not making excuses for rowlands recent behaviour but at least he wants to play and has done allot for this club during the rough days.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                          Much more professional than this......

Not a comment about the way we say goodbye to players, more a comment about what we have said in the past about TRUE club servants.....

Probably before your time though, hence the reason that the comment was way over your head....

Yeah, that was way before my time, I only started supporting QPR this year, before that I was Chelsea, and before that I was Man Utd - I know a good thing when I see it!

Whilst you’re making redundant statements which add nothing to the conversation, do you want to bring my mum into it, and pick holes in my grammar? You mind as well cover all last bastions of poor arguments.

Was the departure of Sheila dealt with professionally? Of course not. But the suggestion that because we waved cheerio to 8 players in nicer fashion than we did to Sheila the club should hang it’s head in shame is a ridiculous straw man argument. Mistakes have been made in the past. i see no reason to bring them up at every available juncture?

We have a cracking argument going on here between Report and WRTRB, hard to call but some good agressive answers from our Jeff to be fair
