I'm actually am not that excited, all the ******** recently has spoilt it. I'm trying to work out what I'm looking forward to at present, the plastic fans, the massive expense, getting battered every week, the anti social KO times etc etc.

I really don't get that excited about us playing agianst the big boys unless we are competitive like we have been in the past. Unless I see some expenditure to match the ST prices then for me the whole thing is pointless. I'd sooner be relegated, take the parachute payments and watch a rollercoaster Championship season.

Just the way I feel at the moment.

It's depressing when you consider the last 2 weeks. Completely flat. No parade, sky high s/ts, boardroom upheaval. It's not looking too rosy and just read a rumour on LFW that Adel's off and we'll be getting Carlton Cole and Bullard.

I think once this sh*t at the club is over and we sign few players and fixture list comes and newsnow, sky etc have us under as premership maybe then start believing it happened.

The events of last week have killed it for me, Warnock delivered the dream and the board killed it stone dead.

i posted a comment a few weeks before we clinched promotion saying i enjoyed the championship and preferred it to the idea of being in premier league, cant remeber who it was but go slated for that comment, i did say at the time careful what you wish for , i find it really frustrating that our message boards been full of doom and gloom, i darent look at the norwich one cos i know they will be a lot more excited then we have been and think i would be very jealous of the fact they are enjoying the idea of it a lot more then us

Afraid not Pete, think the board has killed it for all the fans as you can see from this thread. For me personally its not strictly ticket prices it is that they have wacked the prices up while clearly not intending to make a real go of it in the Premier League and remaining a complete shambles in the boardroom. We all know, as night follows day:

                        1) Warno won't be given the money he needs to buy decent players

                        2) We will suffer some heavy defeats early on

                        3) Warno will prob be sacked by Christmas, possibly earlier

                        4) The board will then bring in some super-anuated Italian with no experience of grinding out results around at the bottom of the Championship (an Armani-suited Avram Grant, if you can picture it).

                        5) They will then panic buy a few reserve players and streaky Italians at over the top prices but possibly fail to do enough to ensure we finish above one of Wigan, Blackburn and Wolves.

                        6) Thus go down.

                        Still pinching yourself?

With the players we have I reckon we would just stay up. Would definitely NOT go down. We have top class players like Derry, Faurlin, Taarabt, Gorkks, Kenny, Orr
