    Best (and worst)

    ever Rs performance

    Worst- Vauxhall Motors

Best- Do you remember the Sexton team V Everton at HQ ?

I think the Everton team were all internationals- Latchford,Harvey Kendall, Labone etc. We beat then 5-0 and it could have been 15. Everton staggered off shell- shocked. Gerry was amazing

(The Best) no one can forget the 4-1 thrashing we gave Man United at Old Trafford
(The Worst) has got to be against Vauxhall Motors. You cant lose to a bunch of mechanics who get together every saturday

Heres one for the oldies (like me) - QPR 4 Leicester 2 in the 66-67 League Cup run.
We were in 3rd Division, Leicester 3rd in old First Division, Gordon Banks in goal only a few weeks after the World Cup win, and we took em to bits. And in "them days" clubs like Leicester fielded full strength sides in the cups. Fantastic atmosphere, 20,000 crowd for first time in years.

Worst, well I fortunately never saw Vauxhall Motors debacle, one of the worst performances I can recall was 1-4 at Oxford, I think Harford was Manager, Vinnie Jones assisting Anybody that was there will remember one of their goals, possibly the worst I ever seen us concede in 50 years of watching.

Worse was Swansea away in the cup. Still worse than Vauxhall Motors was the following year. Swansea game represented our nadir, I truly thought we were f**ked for good after that game. No idea, no hope, no clue, no money with the administrators closing in. Then Gallen came back and it all turned upwards. Vauxhall Motors was part of a blip in a good season (when Earnshaw ripped the **** the following week) and a good headline, Swansea was the bottom of the barrel with no hope for the future.

The best I think I've ever seen us perform was either the opening day of the 87/88 campaign and absolutely destroyed West Ham in the space of 17 first half minutes with a brand new innovative formation (which given the way we ended 86/87 no-one expected), or the Cologne home leg of the UEFA Cup. Very very special.

Worst probably away to Southend 5-0 a few years back.

Best away to Everton in 1993/4, we won 3-0 and Bradley Allen got a hat trick that day. A performance which can only be describe as total football, even Clive Wilson said that was the best Rangers performance he played in. I think Allens 3rd goal involved something like approximately 25 passes.

Yes, saw both of those. Cologne were a good side and we destroyed them.

At West Ham even when we were 3-0 up at Half time we were all going "Ohhhhh, we ain't won this yet " Mind you, we were still saying that in the 89th minute when it was STILL 3-0!
