    My personal opinion thats all.

We lost three of our best players last year in Rowlands Vine and Buzz...they all will have a full pre season behind them.

Wth one or two sensible additions on top of a pretty sound defence I think we could go close.

I'm notr mad on the Magilton appointment I dont think anyone is but now he is here I want him to do well and of course he will get my support
and I think the vast majority of fans wil now get behind the appointment.

I'd love to see us go out and spend big but there are signs that we have learnt from our mistakes and I for one am delighted that we never gave Adebola a two year deal.

Anyway looking forward to next season...what else ami going to do on a Saturday after all
We need 1 or 2 quality strikers, we need a left back and possibly a 2nd choice keeper. We do not need unproven continental youngsters, we do not need whatever is in Base Soccers clearance sale, we need some quality additions that will cost money. We do not need any more gold plate for the executive boxes, or crystal chandeliers, or mahogany wood trim in the bar.

What is clear is that Flab has probably spunked whatever liquidity he had on expensive non-footballing trinkets and contractual contingency on the long list of ex-managers.

Meanwhile, the guys with the real money are left as minority share holders and are not allowed to take more of an interest in the financial side of the club.

With the appointment of Magilton and no transfer budget, this club is going in one direction......and it wont be upwards.
QBP 20th August 2009..."To be fair, I'm glad we are top of the table (for agents fees). Shows we are not a selling club anymore."

the frustration is we don't need to spend millions. 1.5 on cox, 800,000 on spurr, maybe the young arsenal right back on a season's loan. then we wd be a decent side. off load a few also-rans and it might only be about £1m outlay. but wd the board spend even this much?

another point: everyone assumes we were pants last season because we lost three players to injury. well in football players do get injured. who is to say we won't have the same - or worse - injury problems next yr. you need strength in depth.
