But he has a 2.5million sell out clause ?
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Maybe we didn't bid £2.5m up front? Maybe it was all loaded around appearances, staying up and international clauses etc.... with a smaller up front payment.

      Jus' saying is all........

Or maybe we did bid £2.5 mill, Watford asked Graham if he wished to talk to us thereby doing as they are supposed to and Graham said no. Watford can then refuse the offer as they please.

Then Watford have accepted the offer and allowed the player to make his own mind up. They can't reject an offer than meets the clause in a contract. Or maybe the clause doesn't exist in the form presumed?

Surely they can refuse what they like if the player says he doesn't want to move/ turns down a particular move.

A release clause only enables a player to talk to a club when activated, it doesn't garuantee a transfer when activated does it.

I think Watford can refuse what they like with Graham's permission.

                That's a layman's view though obviously.

I guess he is worth that amount of money? I saw him against us in the last game of the season but was“nt overly impressed, really.
But that was just one game etc.
Any other opinions? Can Anyone on here that has followed him closely during the last two seasons give us a clue. Ok, loads of goals for a mid table team says a lot, hence he is a fox in the box type of player, I reckon?

                    Quality player.

If we can't get him then i would like to see us bid for Gary Hooper.

Simon Cox if none of above.
