The owners have talked the talk..

    ..now walk the walk!
I remember when they first arrived, all this talk about the 5 year plan, getting us in Europe and all that. Now that were in the Premier League, lets see if there really gonna get the check book out and back Warnock. Im not expecting Messi or Ronaldo to walk through the door, nor am I expecting names as big or as little as Jermaine Defoe or Darren Bent. However, I hope they let the manager do the signing, and back him. Were going to need a lot more quality in the squad if we want to remain in the PL. Bringing in names like Carlos Vela, or Jermain Jenas or Joe Cole would show some ambition from the board

You only need to persuade one big name player and you get a domino effect of others looking at your club in a new light.

Blackburn did it with Shearer, Chelsea with Gullit, Middlesbrough with Juninho, Fulham with Collins and Tigana, Wigan with Heskey and even now Man City with Tevez.

Just the right one and the others follow.

They will only be following if the owners splash the cash, which is what the OP is talking about. If they don't, then there won't be anyone to follow.

they had no real talk.. that was only normal chairmen talk.. we will and we will do and we will be etc..
its NW who brought the "vertebral column" of QPR: kenny-derry-taarabt. without those players we would be 16th or 18th at best this season.
the chairmen did nothing in reality.

That assumes owners are willing to spend on fees and wages. Can't see that happening in next 2/3 years.

Blimey thought we would at least get to mid June before this kind of thread started!
