Playmakers In The Mould of Taarabt?

Who would be the ideal player to take over this role, if Taarabt leaves this summer?

You softening us up for his departure then?

    Well Cole obviously, but unrealistic.

Massive fan of Krancar but prob almost as unrealistic.

Bullard maybe though see him a bit more in the Shaun Derry role.

Kaka wants a move to London!!

Seriously. Can't think of a realistic option within our price/ wage range. Scott Sinclair possibly I guess. Would love Krançar but his wage must be astronomical.

There is no one like Taarabt. I understand there are players who can play that position but he is so unique

The Swans Dyer altho not in Tarbs class and when he stops eating at the salad bar, may be a cheap alternate.

Will we play the same football if Tarbs goes? Think that's the main question. As said above - he's unique. styled a lot of our plays around him. Think he'd have to change his game a bit too if staying with us in the Prem, and think Warnock's already told him this. Last few games I think there was evidence of him even "tracking back" to help defend!

We won't replace him. Getting to the Prem is one thing, staying there is another.

                      well

well one thing about warnock ,is that he likes to keep his midfield players scoring goals,i think next season routledge will do well in the prem and he could score 12 goals in a season, also mackie could score 10 goals and smith could bet 10 goals
buzsacky could get 10 goals,so if adel goes hopefully if only we could get a 20 goal a season striker it could all be ok,but we need a striker not since ferdinand left have we had a 20 goal a season striker, who can play in the full england side
maybe we could get crouch or defoe but we need that one golden striker

Baptista or Di Natale would be ideal, and prob cheaper than prem players

Think you're right - would def need to go abroad if we don't want to spend stupid money. well established players here are just priced way off target

Only player I can think of who is similar to adel is the original version Ronaldinho. Magicians, lazy, match winners. And we have zero chance is signing someone like ronnie.

Agree with what most have said there is not really anyone like Adel. Players that could play his role though would be; Joe Cole, Krancjar, Ganso but they are well out of our wage and transfer range unless we get massive investment.
