Obsevations from Player Of The Year

Category A games will be in play next season..

Treatment of Martin Rowlands/Lee Cook was pretty abysmal. A Player like Vaggen Moen can get up on the stage, yet he has contributed nothing to the football club.

Leon Clarke no-where to be seen

Club are confident (to the point of certainty) that we will get no points deduction.

The compere asked fans to wait until meals finish for signatures of players, to not disturb them. Most waited patiently to find Taarabt had left the building pretty sharpish.

Groups of close friends (editedby me), Hill, Derry and Kenny, whilst players like Helguson/Faurlin/Gorkss stayed pretty much together.

Think the first teamer who stayed the longest was Matthew Connolly, who was on the dance floor at 130am, but not dancing.

Best Player of the Year I've been to, fans really seemed to enjoy it.

Taarabt reminded me of Al Pacino in Scarface, the scene where he is sitting in the audience with shades on and shirt, unbuttoned

This happens at every club, you always have groups of friends, some people you get on with better than others.

Don't think it's any surprise happens with any football team, however well everyone gets on during training/match outside of that you're obviously going to have different interests and hang around more with certain people!

Bad choice of word is 'clique' implies there are fractions within the squad. Groups of mates would be a better way of describing it, the likes of Hill, Derry and Kenny all go way back so why wouldn't they enjoy the moment together.

            Exactly that.

I've got certain friends who I get on with far more than others. It's part of life.

A lot of the players were still in the bar at 3.30am and Paddy and Orr were chatting away with fans still when I finally hit the hay

Got to say that Faurlin is such a nice fella and was great to have a chat with Rufus as well

Why? They basically havent contributed anything towards our promotion. Albeit I agree neither has PVM!

Because they've served the club well over the years. PVM has not. If PVM wasn't on stage, then this wouldn't even be a debate. The fact he was just makes this look harsh against Cook and Rowlands.

                        You can't really deny that.

When Warnock started inviting players up on the stage he said it was not part of the evenings plans and I have to be honest it started to drag on a bit as he seemed at the end to just be calling squad players up for the sake of it and it all got a bit boring in the end

Had a brief word with him and he says he is fit now but obviously too late to play this season
