I'm still not clear why it is only seven days to appeal. Other recent FA rulings have given the clubs affected either 14 or 28 days to appeal. Does anyone know?

The FA uses different periods under different headings, Doping, playing offences etc.

Only the FA Committte if they could recall why they agreed the rules could expalin the rationale behind the different periods under the different headings

OK, thanks for that. Just had a quick read/scan of the FA 2010-11 regulations and you're right, there does not seem to be any consistent 'rule' or rationale for time given for appeals.

Hmm Pete said it was 28 days to appeal. 7 days turns up the ante a bit. Still feeling confident of just a fine though as a pts deduction would open a huge unwanted and embarrassing can of worms for the FA - a logistical disaster, descending into farce.

It has been a farce right from about Day 3, how they expect us to play a game of Football on Saturday, is beyond me, should they deduct points ! Let alone the play offs !

And who would be speaking on behalf of QPR ? Surely not GP who would have ulterior motives. He would not want to be found guilty as he'd lose his job. But we'd all take a fine no problem... Dodgey business

This period for appealing is interesting -- Rangers can waive their right to the whole period (minimum 14 days, but usually with things like this. the full 28), and accept 7 days, but apparently they haven't waived their right to the longest period -- so the 7 days won't be the period for appeal, at the moment it will be longer unless the club waive their right.
