He took a wild late swing at home a few games ago, and much like this incident I believe he had no intention of contact. It's like a child throwing a tantrum in a supermarket waving their arms and legs around!

He was kicked up in the air a few times, got very frustrated as the ref was a right homer and gave us nothing for some really reckless challenges on him AND Tommy Smith (who must be black and blue).
Difference is that Smith is more mature and experienced and got on with it.

What Putney said. Adel had no intention of kicking him.

These kind of actions would worry me in the premiership

Did he actually try to kick the player Matt Chew? The ref was right and top of it and had he not let Barnsley kick lumps out of him up until this point he wouldn't have responded this way.

                        the ref

the ref should have protected adel he is worth ten million pounds but he just let him get kicked all over the pitch, its disgracefull, unbeleivable, absolutely unbeleivable,it created a fight amongst our own fans ,who as you know are the best behaved in the league

He may have been kicked all over the place, but he can't react like that, makes no difference if he "meant" to kick someone or not. It's a reaction and that's what the referees respond to.

He needs to cut that out of his game as it will be uncovered a hell of a lot more next season,

Hopefully he will mature enough to stop. He's already come on from how he was at the beginning of the season.

Cant believe some people don't think he should have been sent off. It was a blatant red card and just one of the many decisions the useless man in black got wrong. Likewise HH's rash lunge when he ended up in the dugout would not have been tolerated by many refs.
