that actually brings up a point i hadnt thought about - for our away games at Cardiff and Watford the allocation we got given would have been further reduced by the number of away season ticket holders.

Just to add to this, rather than start another thread.

A colleague of mine is a dirty Leeds fan and he took great pleasure in telling me that at the start of the season they check who they are playing last game and, if away, join that clubs membership scheme so that they can swamp the ground on all sides.

He said that part of the reason that our ticketing system was clogged up when the tickets went on sale is because of the few thousand dirty Leeds fans with R's memberships buying tickets.

I didn't really believe him but I did pause for thought when I considered the distinct lack of a stampede for Sheffield Utd, Derby and Hull tickets.

Still don't believe him but he's absolutely convinced it's the case and started yapping on about when they've done it in the past, at which stage I stopped paying attention before I slipped into a coma from boredom and complete apathy.

I am personally done with all the moaning about tickets etc. If you had gone you would get - simple. Having gone in the 80s will not cut it.

But I admit the Leeds system here looks fairer - if I read it right (after awat ST holders) they look ONLY away games gone to as counting on loyalty for away tickets. Thus stopping closet hugging Season ticket holders emerging for the last games to take tickets from non-Holders who have nonetheless been up and down the country for the season.

Much better approach if you ask me (I would qualify either way so no personal axe to grind - just saying this looks a better way)

So paying for a ST before you know how the season is going to pan out, and going to 23 home games is not loyal then, oh that's without counting the away games too by the way.

Always gonna be differing opinions, i accept the away games can be a trek but others are just up the road to some as we do have fans based outside the bush you now. So for some distance travelled to home games is further than away games. Does that not make them loyal in your eyes - every home game probably being more like an away game to the fans who have to travel some way.

That system was one i mentioned yesterday,seems very fair,however the points would not count for home tickets,you cannot qualify for home tickets unless you actually go.
Any points from the away loyalty scheme do not count.
