The guys who said if we knock out the 6th place team from the play-offs, they would complain, really aren't having a bright day at the office.

If we go from 1st to 6th, the team who was previously 6th would get bumped up to 5th, not knocked down to 7th. The teams that were in the top 6 would remain in the top 6, with the only change being that the 3rd place team becomes 2nd and goes up automatically.

I don't either like the fact the date is so far away but I'm confident that with the fact we can drag this case out until well into next season, they wouldn't dare not make us promoted. Also, they wouldn't do enough for us to not be champions either as that is silverware and I presume more money for coming 1st, so we could challenge that as well.

My predicition, a 5 point deduction but we still win the league by 4 or 5 points.

Is the independent panel the same as an arbitration panel?

        Oh great

Don't listen to the gp spin machine. This is the worst possible news.
The FA have previous on this, see Swindon and demotion TWO divisions AFTER they'd won promotion.
What is clear is our defence submission hasn't scared the FA and they are willing to have a go on all 7 counts.
Leave it as late as possible and it only leaves uncertainty for one team, us!

        Backing it again now

        IN WARNOCK WE TRUST
(in others some of us never did)
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

The date of the hearing is very interesting.

My guess is a points deuction - just enough to stop us winning the title - but not enough to take us out of the automatic promotion places.

Then they are seen to be taking the matter seriously by deducting points but we are happy as we still go up. Any appeal would then be pretty pointless. And it would not fook up the play-offs.

With one game left to play, even the mathematicians at the FA should be able to come up with the right points deduction to make all this work.

          Congratulations Norwich!

Just goes to show nobody knows a thing. All the the same spin coming from the same sources in order to keep the masses quiet and protect the master. 6 charges dropped according to the local press.. Where did they get that from? Time to get rid of the lying, scheming, incompetent and leach like waiter. How can we enjoy our success with this hanging over our heads. I am more worried now then Have been since this story broke

The thing that gives me the most optimism on this was the reaction of Neil Warnock on sky last night when being interviewed. When asked if a points deduction was a concern he responded quite forcibly with “you lot don’t get the facts get in the way of a good story etc” and …."I`ll tell you what I think of it when it`s done”. He`s one of the most honest managers going (how many would rightly call someone a sewer rat) and I got the impression he wasn’t overly worried about it.

Not putting a downer here but if the outcome is a points deduction, doesn't it mean that it's effective immediately? Ie. appealing doesn't make any difference at that time

I'd be happy with a 10 point start in the Premier League!

Can people please stop saying 'Its just going to be a fine, not a points deduction'.
The bottom line is no one knows what the fc uk is going to happen. Yes we may get a slap on the wrist but at the same time we could get slaughtered as well. This will completely ruin the run in now for many fans hoping to enjoy a glorious time for our club.
Nothing ever goes smoothly at QPR.

The press have said repeatedly that 6 charges have been dropped and a fine is all we'll get. To deduct points once we are champions won't happen. The press may be seen by some as total wa*kers but they rarely get things wrong.

A points deduction won't happen once we are champions as the FA won't dare go through a legal battle. They are already in the 'brown and smelly' over their own financial situation so a massive fine for us is what it will be. Points deductions are usually for financial irregularities not player registration problems. The FA have already stated that Faurlin was 'never' illegible. Just takes the edge off the end of season as decision day is so late.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Says here that it would be unlikely to affect our promotion

Queens Park Rangers have said they will deny all seven charges brought against them by the FA relating to an alleged third-party agreement for their midfielder Alejandro Faurlin

I wonder how our lawyer(s) consider this situation. Is it really allowed to let a decision drag on this far.
It must be against the law?? This uncertainty surely affect the team, club and us fans beyond any reason.

Not read anything in the national press about 6 charges being dropped, only the local rags. They are only relaying what the club insider tells them, not what the fa intend to do. More lies and more spin
