According to the BBc website Sheff utd had 19 attempts on Goal..10 on target!! what game were they watching...unless they had 10 shots on target when i went for a pee i don't know were they got that from!

Lots of shots, agreed, but most of them were blocked within inches -- so it didn't look as though they had many.
Cracking defending from us all night, they were not going to get through whatever.

smith, faurlin will always give us lots of chances, and I think all of them, plus the redoubtable HH will allow us to play a decent passing game in the premiership.Comment

Well the HT stats on the tellies in the B&W club showed 4 blocked shots for them after 45 mins and they had more shots on target than us (2) at that point. They also had a few towards the end of 2nd half but 19 still seems rather high.
Bottom line is 3-0, so who cares ?
As you say BBC Late Kickoff showed about 7 to 1 in our favour and then commented on it not being favouratism and genuinely that one sided !Comment

They had more shots on target, more off target, and had more corners.
But they lost 3-0, and that was about right. Could have been 5 or 6.

I think that they must have been counting Simonsen's dozen or so long boots up field to (= passes to) Paddy Kenny. Nearly all their genuine chances ended up past the corner flags or in the stand.
Their death of talent was summed up for me when they brought on Marcus Bent and we then brought on Ishmael Miller - what a massive improvement in our squad this season!Comment
